About Me
Welcome to Courageous Kids and thank you for stopping by. My name is Simone and my heart is for children and supporting them to develop into their best, healthiest selves. I believe that we all have significant strength and resilience. We just might need to discover it within us and learn how to apply it.
As a mother I understand the complexities that parenting brings as well as how external influences can impact our parenting journey and our child’s development.
I have experienced first hand how early intervention and prevention during a child’s developmental stages can provide positive impacts in achieving language, social- emotional, and fine & gross motor skills.
I graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care with an Indigenous Studies specialization. With my experience in child development from prenatal to age 6, and many years working with children and families in various settings, I have developed a deep understanding of what it takes for children to thrive.
I have education and experience working with children with different abilities, anxiety, and trauma.
